BHUBANESWAR: The City Police, which were on their toes on Saturday over a threat call to BJD Rajya Sabha member Pyarimohan Mohapatra, have arrived at the conclusion that the caller Pradip Patnaik has a mental condition.Checking antecedents of Patnaik, police found out that he is a patient of Nilamadhab Rath of Department of Psychiatry, SCB Medical. He has been under treatment for depression manic psychosis, also called bipolar.Bipolar is a condition in which a person swings from two different states of moods __ very good or irritable mood or depression. It was apparently the CPI(ML) meet in the City which triggered the manic condition in him. He constructed the conspiracy theory in his mind and made the call. He is likely to be let off with a warning.
