Three students admission disqualified

KOCHI: Three more ineligible students admitted to self-financing engineering colleges in 2011-12 have been removed on the behest of the Admission Supervisory Committee for Professional Colleges. It was found that their mathematics mark was lower than that stipulated by AICTE.Athira C Babu of MES College of Engineering and Technology, Kunnukara, has been removed from the college and given the transfer certificate on December 13. Vishnu T B and Aghesh P of Shahul Hameed Memorial Engineering College, Pullippara, Kollam, have also been removed.  Following reports and complaints that students who have not secured the stipulated marks have got admission, the committee chaired by Justice P A Mohammed held a meeting on Wednesday. The representatives of the  managements stated that the said students have been removed and submitted documents to prove the same. The documents are being scrutinised, according to a release.
