A three-day music festival in memory of the Trinity of Tamil Music - Arunachalakavirayar, Marimuthapillai and Muthuthandavar-- which commenced at Sirkazhi in the district on Friday, will conclude on Saturday.

Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Vaigai Selvan and Fisheries Minister KA Jayapal inaugurated the festival in the presence of District Collector T Munusamy.
Music recitals by eminent musicians, discourses on the achievements of the trinity of Tamil music, cultural events are being conducted as part of the festival.
Chief Minister Jayalalitha inaugurated the memorial for the trinity constructed in 44 cents at a cost of Rs 1.51 crore at Sirkazhi during February this year.
