She also thanked the doctors saying that they had done their best to save Tenzin by performing critical surgery to remove a 43 cm triangular-edged knife that was pierced into the lower chest from the back, besides taking care of him.When asked about the prevailing situation in Karnataka, Dolma told Express that she has been apprised by the Tibetan regional officer and their representatives on the measures taken by the government and local administration. “I am happy with the initiatives taken by the local police and the government. I believe that efforts will be made by the state and law enforcing agencies to end the impasse,” she said.Pointing at the accompanying Tibetan representatives, she said that the Tibetans are living in exile in India for over 50 years and many of them were born and live in harmony with Indians. “We feel safe in India that stands for a diverse culture, secularism and communal harmony and this should be safeguarded,” she said.Dolma said that it is not right to draw a conclusion on the investigation till the final report is submitted by the police. Asked about the exodus, she said that it is sad that many of them returned home fearing violence. While some have lost jobs and others returned without completing their education, she added.A medical officer on condition of anonymity said that, Dolma might have received complaint that Tenzin was not provided a separate ward. “She was quite reserved during her visit. After she was informed that Tenzin was shifted to the surgery general ward from the ICU, she felt good,” a doctor said.Two Picked up for questioningTwo youths were picked up by Kuvempu Nagar Police Inspector Yashavanth on Saturday in connection with the stabbing of Tenzin Dagyal, a Tibetan.According to sources the youth were identified as the eye witness based on CCTV footages that was recovered by the police from hotel Indra Bhavan. Tenzin was stabbed with a triangular-edged knife like dagger last Tuesday on the street adjacent to the hotel.
