TN: Veerapandi Arumugam gets bail from Salem court

Judicial First Class Magistrate S Lakshmi granted bail toArumugam when his plea came up for hearing. This was the fifthbail application filed by Arumugam, the DMK's strongman inSalem district. However, Arumugam would have to wait for the order of theMadras High Court on his plea challenging his detention underthe stringent Goondas Act subsequent to the his arrest.
