Two kids among five of a family killed

PATHANAMTHITTA: Five persons were killed and three others injured, one of them seriously, when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling collided  with a private bus at Koodal on the Punalur-Muvattupuzha road on Friday.The ill-fated autorickshaw, carrying eight members of a family and relatives, was on its way to Punalur from Pathanamthitta.The deceased were Santhosh, 33, Karimpinvila, Nellippalli in Punalur, his daughters Nakshatra, 3, and three-month-old Nimisha, Santhosh’s brother-in-law Sanal, 26, and Sanal’s aunt Santhamma, 65, of Punnala near Pathanapuram.Indira, 52,  aunt of Sanal, was admitted to a private hospital in Kozhenchery in a serious condition.The other injured, Santhosh’s wife Saumya and Indira’s sister Jalaja, were admitted  to a private hospital here.
