The issue of managing wastewater has become so serious that we may have to go for an act on wastewater management, Union Minister said.
New Delhi: Union Minister Uma Bharti on Wednesday made a strong pitch for framing a new law for wastewater management to meet the growing water demand in the country.
Union Water Resources Minister Bharti said this while addressing a weekly review meeting of senior officials in New Delhi.
The issue of managing wastewater has become so serious that we may have to go for an act on wastewater management, she said.
The meeting was attended by Union Minister of State for Water Resources Sanjeev Baliyan, ministry Secretary Shashi Shekhar and other senior officials.
