University takes back revised results

CHENNAI: Here today, gone tomorrow seems to be the motto of the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University. As reported by Express, the varsity published the ‘revised’ results of first year students on Sunday evening, only to be withdrawn  by Monday morning.  Stunned medicos are training their guns on the VC Dr Mayilvahanan Natarajan, and are calling for his resignation. The results published on Sunday drew flak from the students because only 70 percent were passed; a marginal improvement over the 60 percent pass result that brought to light the varsity’s non-adherence to MCI norms. The students said that the varsity follows a system where a person can appear for the external exam only if they secure 50 percent in their internal tests.
