HYDERABAD: As part of the ongoing 313th Khalsa Saajana Divas celebrations (Vaisakhi), the Prabhandak Committee of Gurudwara Saheb, Ameerpet, on Thursday conducted Amrit Sanchaar by giving holy nectar to about 40 devotees, including 18 women.The Amrit was prepared by Panj Pyaras amidst the chanting of hymns. It is an integral part of the Vaisakhi celebrations and Sikhs consume Amrit at least once in their life time.The Sikh community in the twin cities is making elaborate arrangements to celebrate the Khalsa Saajana Divas  on a grand scale on Friday.  In this connection, a  mass congregation will be organised at Sri Guru Gobind Singhji Play Grounds, Ameerpet, from 11 am to 4.30 pm.Prabhandak Committee president S Amarjeet Singh, general secretary S Surender Singh and vice-president S Sulakshan SIngh said the event will be marked by recitations of Gurubani Keertans by the reputed Ragi Jathas (religious preachers) who are being invited from different parts of the country.Bhai Inderjeet Singhji Khalsa (Darbar Sahib, Amritsar), Giani Harinder SInghji of Alwar Wale, Sant Ravinder Singhji of Nanaksar wale,  Bhai Surinder Singhji, Hazuri Ragi Jatha, Bhai Gurmukh Singhji, Jatha Tera Jatha and other Ragi Jathas will recite keertans and kathas and throw light on the teachings of Sikh Gurus. After the mass congregation, Guru-Ka-Langar (free community kitchen) will be served to the devotees.The same evening, a procession will be taken out from the Gurudwara Saheb and it will pass through the main corridors of Greenlands, Begumpet, Punjagutta and return to the Gurudwara Saheb. Guru Granth Sahebji (Holy Scripture of Sikhs) will be carried on a decorated vehicle along with religious flags during the procession.The major attraction of the procession will be the display of Gatka, a famous Sikh martial art form, and breathtaking sword exercises. A night congregation will also be held between 8 pm and 1.30 am at the Guru Gobind Singhji sports stadium, Ameerpet.
