Villagers lynch 50-year-old man for attempting rape on a woman

A man was lynched by villagers for allegedly trying to rape a woman in Dahla village in Rampurmathura area here, police said on Monday.

Jagat Narain (50) allegedly tried to rape a woman, mother of two kids, when she was working in a field on Sunday, they said. Jagat fired in the air to threaten her kids, when she resisted his rape bid. Meanwhile, villagers gathered on the spot and lynched Jagat. Police is probing the matter.
