TIRUCHY: A case of land grab against Deputy Mayor M Anbalagan of the DMK took a curious turn on Thursday with another man — Y Solomon Devaraj of Ponmalai Patti — claiming that he was the real owner of the land.Solomon lodged a complaint with the City Police Commissioner against former minister K N Nehru, his brother K N Ramajeyam and Anbalagan on Thursday. His complaint said the documents of the land at K Sathanur were transferred to him from the owners — Govindarajan, Soundarambal and Ethirajam Ammal in 2007. But, Muthukrishnan, with the help of Anbalagan, Nehru and Ramajeyam prepared fake documents and transferred the land to Sathyamurthy and Krishnamurthy of Pudukkottai.Based on the fake document, on February 14, 2010, Sathyamurthy forcibly took possession of the land, Solomon alleged. He added that on September 4, Cantonment Assistant Commissioner Sundarraj and K K Nagar Inspector Bharathidasan, along with hired men, came to his house and asked him to transfer the document to Anbalagan and Ramajeyam. “Since I did not heed to it, they registered a case against me with the K K Nagar police,” he added. The earlier complainant— Palanisamy of Asath Nagar — claimed that on February 14, Anbalagan, Muthukrishnan and Sathyamurthy entered the land. “Later, Inspector Bharathidasan forced us to sign in a blank paper,” Palanisamy alleged.
