HYDERABAD: To provide smooth water supply through water tankers and to meet maintenance costs, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) has decided to categorise the tankers under domestic and non-domestic use with immediate effect.Water tanker for residential purposes will cost Rs 325 for 5,000 litres, which includes Rs 135 as Board cess plus Rs 190 for the tanker owner.For non-domestic use in industries, corporate schools, colleges, hostels, hotels, hospitals, shops, super markets and other commercial uses, water tankers will cost Rs 515 for 5,000 litres, with Rs 325 as Board cess and Rs 190 payable to the tanker owner.Water connections disconnected: As many as 14 illegal and defaulters’ water connections were disconnected in Madannapet area under the Operation & Maintenance division-II, Goshamahal by Green Brigade contractors on Friday.
