Why no MSP to ryots? MS asks AP government

NELLORE: Resenting the government’s failure in ensuring MSP to various agricultural products, as per his recommendation, chairman of NFC M S Swaminathan said that the farmers across the country were finding it much difficult to continue agriculture, in the absence of a valid MSP.Swaminathan who was here to participate in many programmes on Sunday  said that if the same situation continues, the country will face severe food crisis, with more farmers abandoning agriculture, unable to bear losses. He said that the government should introduce national food security bill as it would help farmers get good price. He also stressed on setting up the NMM to predict monsoon conditions.
