Upset after quarrelling with her husband, a 29-year-old homemaker ended her life by hanging at her residence in Manjunathanagar 10th ‘A’ Main Road in Basaveshwaranagar police station limits on Wednesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Hema.
A native of Hassan, she was married to Puttappa, an electrician. According to the police, the couple quarrelled over a petty issue in the morning after which Puttappa left for work. When he returned in the evening, Hema did not open the door. When he peeped through the window room, he found his wife’s body hanging from the ceiling fan. It is suspected that she took the extreme step as she was upset over the quarrel. However, the exact reason is yet to be investigated. In a statement to the police, Hema’s father Range Gowda said that the couple shared a cordial relationship.
