New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's latest offering 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' ended the wait of their fans who have been waiting to see the two of them together on screen. Such has been the buzz around the film that the cash registers started ringing on the very first day of the film. 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' collected Rs 19.45 crore on its opening day.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "INDIA: #YehJawaaniHaiDeewani Fri Rs 19.45 cr. STUPENDOUS!!!"
Ayan Mukerji's second film has not just received a good opening in India but the film is also doing good business abroad. "Now this is a super start! #YehJawaaniHaiDeewani UK:Fri £ 118,159 , Australia Fri A$ 69,501, New Zealand Fri NZ$ 20,028. USA-Canada data still pouring in, but the film opens at No 9 position. Fabulous!" Adarsh added.
After their break up, it is the first time that Ranbir and Deepika have come together on screen and the fans seem more than happy to see their chemistry in the film.
The film also stars Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles.
