You can now save Gmail attachments directly to Google Drive
The new Gmail attachment feature would be available on desktop and will be rolling out over the next week.

New Delhi: In the latest feature addition to its email service Google has added the ability to send Gmail attachments directly to Google Drive. Google says, this will enable users to access the downloaded attachments from different devices, such as a computer, phone or tablet.

This new feature also brings along new previews of the files at the bottom of the email, from photos and videos to spreadsheets and PDFs. Clicking on a previews displays a full-screen view of the image or document.

Users can save attachments directly to Google Drive by clicking the Drive button that appears on hovering over the preview. The option to download the attachment to the computer remains.

According to Google, this new Gmail attachment feature would be available on desktop and will be rolling out over the next week.
