PARAVOOR: The miscreant who reportedly damaged the statue of St Joseph in a shrine at Kunjithai near here was nabbed by Vadakkekkara police on Monday.He has been identified as Vipin, 29, of Kilikkoden house, N Pattanam, Vadakkekkara. The statue was found partially damaged on Sunday morning. The police team led by CI Binukumar and SI P S Rajesh arrested Vipin from Aluva Sivarathri Manalpuram.According to police, the accused is a mentally challenged person. He seldom goes out of the house and interacts with others. Special Branch DySP A Anilkumar visited the area. The accused would be produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate in Paravoor on Tuesday.
