BTS member Kim Tae-hyung aka V is presently serving his mandatory military duty like the other members. He recently dropped a series of pictures on Instagram Stories. We can see V posing for the camera with his friends at the military camp. We also get a glimpse of V’s beloved pet a Pomeranian, Yeontan, popularly known as Tan. Wearing a combat uniform and a beret, Tae-hyung was seen in the pictures standing with other members of his unit.
V made an unusual comeback to Instagram on May 19, adding fresh stories. In one of these pictures of him with his military colleagues, he captioned it with the word “status” — which means the current situation. Fans were pleased to receive an update about their beloved K-pop idol, who is going to continue serving in the military for a while longer.

The k-pop star was previously seen watching a game with his squad at the Gangwon FC Home Stadium in March. His unexpected arrival at the football match was caught on camera during the live broadcast, which also went viral.

V’s military service began on December 11, 2023 when he and BTS leader RM started their mandatory military duty. Other members of BTS, such as Jimin and Jungkook, then did the same. It is now anticipated that Jin will finish his duty in June 2024, along with SUGA and J-Hope, as they complete their enlistment responsibilities.
V completed basic training as an active-duty soldier and is currently assigned to the 2nd Division Military Police Corps. Through his songs, V maintains a connection with his followers even in his time away from the entertainment industry. He recently released a digital single called FRI(END)S, which peaked at number one on several music charts and became quite popular.
By June 10, 2025, it is expected that V will be back with the other members of BTS. Until then, the K-pop sensation will continue to show his commitment to his artistic ambitions and military duty by releasing new songs and providing occasional updates to ARMYs.
