While Ranveer Singh decided to go the bald way for 'Bajirao Mastani', Amitabh Bachchan opted for an unconventional look in 'Shamitabh'. With a whole new year awaiting us with fresh and vibrant fashion trends, we take a look back at some of the most talked-about looks from Bollywood in 2015.

What can be written about this flawless beauty that hasn't been said before? Playing the character of Mastani in the period drama 'Bajirao Mastani', Deepika Padukone not only revealed her royal side but also her strength and fearlessness as she descends in the film. Mesmerizing might be an understatement for this Mastani here.

Portraying the character of Rosie in 'Bombay Velvet', Anushka Sharma was just bang on with this 1960s glamorous look. She might not have looked perfect in every shot but the fact that she had enough guts to experiment with her girl-next-door image is something commendable. Donning mauve shades and cherry lips, the vibrant jazz singer from the film definitely took fashion up a notch. Costumes, hairdos, makeup and the ambiance; everything was just in perfect sync.

Sporting a ferocious fighter avatar in 'Brothers', Siddharth Malhotra swayed away his girl fans once again. Directed by Karan Malhotra, this film was an official remake of the Hollywood film 'Warriors'. This deadly rugged look of the actor came as a surprise after his work in films like 'Hasee Toh Phasee' and 'Student of the Year'.

Katrina Kaif who chose to sport different yet stunning looks for her action-thriller 'Phantom' created quite a buzz when the movie was released. The actress who is usually spotted in the glam zone decided to go de-glam for the script. Shunting her make-up, she still managed to look drop-dead gorgeous in every scene of the film.

There's no denying the fact that Kangana Ranaut is slowly paving her way to become one of the top notch fashionistas of the showbiz industry. With her dual appearance in 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns', she left an indelible mark in the hearts of the viewers; both as Datto and Tanu. While Datto is based in Haryana, Kusum hails from London after her wedding. The ease and perfection with which Kangana Ranaut pulled off both her looks; one with a curly hairdo and the other with a bob cut is indeed a reason for the untouchable success of the film.

'Shamitabh' intrigued viewers not only because a power pack duo Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush were featuring together for the first time but because the legendary actor doesn't shy away from experimenting with his looks. Wearing an opera-style jacket and flaunting a bearded look, Big B melted the hearts of his fans yet again.

Apart from the usual trend setters, 2015 witnessed a change from the stereotypical definition of Bollywood's beauty when Bhumi Pednekar in 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' broke the norms and decided to redefine beauty with her splendid natural looks. Wearing the traditional salvar kameez or sarees and pulling off a perfectly healthy body, she made it to the list of the most admired actresses of the year.

'Byomkesh Bakshy' featuring Sushant Singh Rajput received numerous appreciations and acknowledgements. With the actor wearing a combination of kurta-dhoti teamed up with a coat, the movie bagged several accolades. This moustached look was definitely a farcry from all the looks Sushant has sported so far.

Donning the ace designer Manish Malhotra's ensembles with some serious intricate jewelry, the veteran actress Sridevi made a comeback in a Tamil film 'Puli'. And just in case you haven’t seen the film, brace yourself for the most quirky looks she has pulled off so far. The 'English Vinglish' actress seems to have come a long way from the chiffon sarees she wore in that film.

Ranveer Singh, known for his majestic gestures for every occasion, chose to shave off his head for the film 'Bajirao Mastani'. Though he did have an option of artificial head covering for the period drama, he decided to take it the natural way. 'The grand, the better' has always been his motto; in terms of looks, in terms of actions, in terms of every-thing. With an ideal 'mooch' and a pristine beard, the actor looked winsome.

One of the most talked about looks in 2015 was that of Salman Khan in Sooraj Barjatya’s 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' which was anticipated to be the return of the lovable 'Prem' on the big screen with a mustachioed look. Sharing the screen space with Sonam Kapoor, 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' star managed to remind his fans of the 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun..?' era.
