Manisha Koirala and Sonakshi Sinha Support Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal’s Vision For Ehaab

Manisha Koirala and Sonakshi Sinha, the leading ladies of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s drama series, Heeramandi, were in for a sweet surprise when they received a gift from their dear co-star, Richa Chadha.

The kurta sets were designed by Ehaab couture label, founded by celebrity power couple Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal. Ehaab which translates to ‘a gift’, brings with it the elegance and charm of Lucknow’s rich cultural tapestry.

The gift comprised a chikankari kurta set which Manisha and Sonakshi gracefully posed in and posted a couple of images on Instagram and shared a heartfelt message for Richa and Ali.

Sonakshi looked regal in a royal blue chikankari kurta crafted in soft mul chanderi. Exuding timeless allure, the kurta featured intricate chikankari embroidery enhanced with cut dana work. Sonakshi in her post mentioned about the day Richa gifted her the kurta and spoke about the couture label. Impressed with the vision Richa and Ali have for the label and the artisans working on it, Sonakshi said, “They started Ehaab couture as an effort to employ and empower female karigars during Covid. Richa told me how self respecting these women are and how they want to work themselves to earn a living.”

The piece Sonakshi adorned had no label, when she asked Richa about it, Richa told her that this particular piece was one of the first pieces and that the karigars who made it were thrilled when they found out it was for Sonakshi. “I was really moved, and after a whole night of shooting. I stole our still photographer from the set and we shot these at sunrise as a big thank you to the women who created this with so much love in every thread. Thank you Richa and Ali, I pray Ehaab Couture will give you and your artisans all that you hope for and more.” added Sonakshi.

Similarly, Manisha Koirala bestowed her good wishes on Richa and Ali for supporting women artisans and sharing a piece of their art with her. Looking radiant in the pink chikankari kurta set with intricate threadwork, Manisha said, “Thank you [Richa] for doing what you do in supporting such talented and hardworking women giving them a beautiful space where they are making their mark in this world.”

Richa Chadha along with Sonakshi Sinha, Manish Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh and Sharmin Segal will soon be seen in the magnum opus drama series Heeramandi releasing on May 1 on Netflix.
