Although less hype-worthy than their female colleagues, male models take center stage at the current round of menswear previews. After men's fashion showcases in London and Milan, the Parisian round starts Wednesday, June 21. Which male models will walk the most runway shows during this fashion month? And will they notch up as many runway appearances as their female counterparts? Here's a look at some of the male models heading to the French capital to present spring/summer 2018 collections for some of the the world's biggest fashion houses.

According to specialist website Models.com, the young Irish model Finnlay Davis is the male model who put in the most runway appearances in the last two years. The period covers June 2015 to May 2017, so doesn't take into account the most recent menswear shows for the spring-summer 2018 season.

Finnlay Davis starred in 102 catwalk shows during this time, including two opening appearances and six closings. For the fall-winter 2016-2017 season in Paris, he notably walked for Paul Smith, Sacai, Hermès, Berluti, Louis Vuitton and Valentino. The 19-year-old seems like a sure-fire star of the current menswear previews in Paris.

In comparison, Dominican model Lineisy Montero -- the most in-demand female model over the last two years -- walked in 254 runway shows, more than twice that of the male leader.

Piero Mendez, Sven de Vries, Serge Rigvava

Signed up to star in DKNY and Tom Ford campaigns, Piero Mendez has also made a name for himself on the modeling scene and could be highly in demand during Paris fashion week. With 94 catwalk appearances in the last two years (Berluti, Raf Simons, Issey Miyake), he's likely to be heading to Paris this week.

Other faces to watch out for in the French capital include Dutch model Sven de Vries and Austrian model Serge Rigvava, with 94 and 93 shows to their names (respectively) in two years.

Sol Goss, Erik van Gils, Kit Butler, Tre Samuels, Max Barczak, Rory Cooper, Ryan Keating and Geron McKinley are also expected in Paris for this final week of spring/summer 2018 shows.

Myles Dominique was a particularly popular face on the spring-summer 2018 catwalks in London and Milan in recent weeks (Xander Zhou, Wales Bonner, Off-White, Marni). Highly in demand for this new season, he could also be cast in several Paris shows.

As for home-grown talent, watch out for French model Xavier Buestel, who walked for Fendi at the recent round of spring-summer 2018 menswear shows in Milan. However, the model seems to be focusing increasingly on photo shoots. Max Fieschi and Paul Hameline could also lead the French line-up in Paris.
