Running on False Ads: Yogi Govt Stands Exposed Over Development in UP, Says Akhilesh Yadav
Yadav alleged that schemes aimed to influence people are not going to have any effect ahead of the 2022 state assembly elections.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the Uttar Pradesh government and said “the anti-people policies of the BJP government have started to be exposed.” Yadav alleged that schemes aimed to influence people will not have any effect ahead of the 2022 state assembly elections.

In a statement issued on Monday, the former Chief Minister Yadav said the Uttar Pradesh government is indulging in false publicity. “The BJP government in Uttar Pradesh is running on the strength of advertisements. Big advertisements for Kanya Vivah Yojana are printed. News and pictures are published. But the ground reality stands exposed when poor parents have been wandering even after three years since the scheme was introduced. The financial assistance has affected the marriage of daughters of over 600 families in Agra. The poor have to face hardships in this government.”

“Before the 2022 Assembly polls, the ‘chaal’ (move), ‘charitra’ (character) and ‘chehra’ (face) of the BJP has been recognised by everyone,” Akhilesh Yadav said.

Further attacking the government, Akhilesh Yadav also accused the ruling government of the poor state of education and teachers’ employment. “The primary education system is also in bad condition under the BJP government. Recruitment of teachers has been a matter of constant controversy. These days teachers have also been linked to the construction of school building, mid-day meal, etc. Children’s education is getting impacted as teachers have been given the responsibility of over 10 schools. The school buildings reopened after the covid-19 crisis are in poor condition, and many schools do not even have teachers. Children are being forced to clean schools instead of studying.”

Targeting Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Yadav said, “The ministers of Yogi government are busy disregarding the Mission Shakti campaign launched by the CM. False claims of women’s respect and safety are made as the ground reality is just the opposite. The Pink Booth aimed to encourage women help desk in police stations are also of no use as victims have complained they are humiliated by officials instead of providing help.”

UP Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu in a statement said, “The Yogi government is not employment-oriented but has become a ‘prachaarjeevi’ (heavily dependent on publicity). Wrong statistics pertaining to employment are being disseminated and the unemployed youth are being misled.”
