India have won al ltheir matches so far and are the only team unbetaen at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

The Indian cricket team reached Lucknow yesterday to take part in their next World Cup 2023 game against defending champions England. The World Cup fixture between India and England is scheduled to be played at the BRSABVE Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday. Upon their arrival at the Lucknow hotel, the Indian cricketers received a grand welcome. In a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the players can be seen being welcomed by the hotel staff in a traditional fashion. The Indian team even received a rousing reception from the fans at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. Sharing a video of Team India’s jaw-dropping reception at the hotel, the BCCI posted on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, “Hello Lucknow. Team India are here for their upcoming CWC23 clash against England.”

The video went viral in no time garnering huge attention from fans in comments.

“Welcome to my city,” wrote a social media user.

This fan seemed to be in awe of Virat Kohli’s sensational form. “Friendly reminder to all ICT fans. Virat Kohli the greatest there is, the greatest there was, the greatest there ever will be,” read the comment.

This social media user felt that Team India will win the World Cup this time.

Echoing a similar sentiment another fan commented, “Getting closer to that Trophy.”

This person seems to be waiting for a cracker of a contest between India and England this Sunday in Lucknow.

The Indian cricket team will head into the game against England having remained unbeaten so far at the World Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma’s men are currently the only unbeaten side in the ongoing edition of the World Cup. Hosts India claim the top spot in the World Cup standings with five wins in as many games.

In their last match, India got the better of New Zealand by four wickets. Chasing a total of 274, Virat Kohli came up with a magnificent knock of 95. India reached the target with two overs to spare. Pacer Mohammad Shami was named Player of the Match for his terrific five-wicket haul. Shami ended up with figures of 5/54 in his 10 overs.

England, on the other hand, have not had an impressive to their World Cup title defence. The Jos Buttler-led side has claimed one win till now after playing four matches. The reigning champions will be up against Sri Lanka today in Bengaluru. The English side find themselves at the eighth spot on the World Cup points table.
