The trailer of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was released last week and it boasted of action never seen before in Indian cinema. With high-octane chase sequences, death-defying stunts, guns blazing and addictive fight scenes, the trailer had it all. It comes as no surprise as the lead cast of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff know their craft well when it comes to action, both famed for their martial arts prowess and pulling off stunts. While the heroes get all the accolades for pulling off the action with perfection, it is also crucial to give due credit to the action choreographer who conceptualises the action in a film.
The action of this film was choreographed by renowned Hollywood action director, Craig Macrae. Craig has been part of some of the biggest action entertainers in Hollywood, including Avengers: Age of Ultron and Mad Max: Fury Road. He is not new to Bollywood though. Earlier, the breathtaking action in films like Pathaan, War and Jawan, were also choreographed by Craig. The action director has put in everything in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan from bike stunts and stunts on an aeroplane to hand-to-hand combat.
Jackky Bhagnani, the film’s producer, said that the team’s determination and goal was to offer a lifetime experience to the audience in terms of action. He said he believed in the vision of director Ali Abbas Zafar as well. “What you see in the movie is a collaboration of the best,” he said.
During the trailer launch of the film, South star Prithviraj Sukumaran, the main antagonist, said that the stunts pulled off by Akshay and Tiger in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan were so dangerous that it was a miracle that they were standing safe and sound beside him at the moment.
Presented by Vashu Bhagnani and Pooja Entertainment in association with AAZ Films, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, Himanshu Kishan Mehra and Ali Abbas Zafar. It will hit theatres on April 10.
