Dileep was recently seen in the crime-thriller film Thankamani. Ratheesh Reghunandan wrote and directed the film, and R. B. Choudary under Super Good Films and Raaffi Mathirra under Iffaar Media backed the project. He played the main lead in the movie, and it is based on a real-life incident that occurred in Thankamany in October 1986. The movie also starred Neeta Pillai, Pranitha Subhash, Manoj K. Jayan, Sudev Nair and Malavika Menon in pivotal roles.
The main portion of the film shooting took place in Erattupetta, Kanjirappally, Koottickal, Poonjar, Kuttikkanam, Peermade, and Kattappana. The musical score was composed by William Francis, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Manoj Pillai and Shyam Sasidharan, respectively.
