Adhyayan Suman on His 'Near Death' Experience, Music Video and Past Relationships
Adhyayan Suman opens up about his near-death experience while shooting Peg Daariya, his previous relationships and his upcoming ventures.

Adhyayan Suman has been making headlines for quite a few weeks now. After giving a commendable performance as Tinka Singh in Aashram, he is again in the spotlight for his recent music video Peg Daariya. This song that celebrates friendship, Adhyayan said, is inspired by several incidents of his life.

Talking about how the song came together and the experience of working with his friends, the actor said, “One of my friends had composed this and I said let’s make this song someday and after two years I went ahead and decided to make Peg Daariya. The experience of the video has been wonderful because I was working with all my friends and the song is also about friendship”.

However, not all the experiences related to the music video were pleasant as the actor had the misfortune of facing a near-death situation while shooting. He said, “I was shooting on a parapet made out of bricks and that cracked into half and I fell down. I was only one inch away from falling down in a ditch and I would have fallen right onto the rocks and died. I was lucky I didn’t have a single scratch on my body. I believe in God a lot so I guess that was what it was.”

In this video, Adhyayan is also sharing the screen with Maera Mishra. They were earlier dating each other. He said, “I don’t think that I have an issue with any of the people I have been with. If I have good work I don’t have a problem with any of my former partners. We are working professionals and it should not be a problem”.

Talking of previous relations, he also opened up about the time when he had gone into extreme depression and anxiety following a break-up 7-8 years back. He revealed that his parents and friends helped him cope up with the situation.

“It’s (anxiety) far less than it was before. It became such a problem that it used to just develop on its own anytime. I am trying to get out of it and also I did a lot of meditation initially. You can’t force a relationship. When you are younger, you don’t have so much wisdom to understand all these. It’s only when you have been through a couple of very dark stressful relationships in life you realize it’s not worth,” said Adhyayan who, taking a lesson from his experiences, advised millennials to hold onto life no matter how tough it gets.

After establishing himself as a musician, and receiving love and praises for his acting in Prakash Jha’s Aashram, he now wants to venture into the world of direction.

“The film is titled Airport and it’s a coming of age film about two people who meet at an airport. In the next couple of months or a year or two, when I feel ready enough to be able to give in my entire time and heart and soul to directing a film, I’ll do that next”, said Adhyayan Suman.
