Ant-Man Star Evangeline Lilly ‘Steps Away’ From Acting: 'Might Return One Day’
MCU star Evangeline Lilly has announced her retirement from acting, with a throwback video on Instagram.

Evangeline Lilly, best known for her roles in the Ant-Man films, is ready to quit acting. The Hollywood actress took to Instagram and announced her retirement, stating that a “new season has arrived.” In a gratitude-filled post, the 44-year-old also reflected on her work and achievements, further hoping that she might return to Hollywood someday. Along with the post, Evangeline Lilly shared an old video of herself in which she answered the question about her future.

While the date of the video is uncertain, it seems like the interview is at least two decades old. In the video, Evangeline Lilly expresses her desire to be a “retired actress” by the next decade. “I am terrified to admit this to the rest of the acting world, but ideally 10 years from now, I’d like to be a retired actress. I would like to have a family, and I’d like to be writing and maybe influencing people’s lives in a more humanitarian way,” she said in the clip.

Reflecting on her remarks, the actress added in her caption, “I am so filled with joy and contentment today as I live out my vision. Praise God, I feel so grateful for my blessings. Stepping away from what seems like the obvious choice (wealth and fame) can feel scary at times, but stepping into your dharma replaces the fear with fulfillment. I might return to Hollywood one day, but, for now, this is where I belong. A new season has arrived, and I AM READY…and I AM HAPPY.”

As soon as Evangeline Lilly made the announcement, fans flooded the comment section with emotional messages and best wishes for her.
