Bigg Boss 11 came to a close on Sunday night with Shilpa Shinde taking the trophy home and Hina Khan turning out to be the second runner-up. Hina, who gave a tough competition to the winner and held her own throughout the show, addressed a press conference post the finale.
Hina admitted that she never thought she'll make it to top five and was fearful of being eliminated mid-season. "I thought I'll not make it to the finals but I always hoped to reach top five. There was a great competition, some people played really well and were strong contenders, so it's not about winning or losing, just competing inside the house is a big thing. I made it to top two and I think it's a great achievement for someone like me who feared that she'll be eliminated mid-season. I'm really proud of myself and I'm really glad."
The actor shared how Salman spoke to her and Shilpa about the Bigg Boss fan base and even told them that the difference is only of a few thousand votes and not more.
She further revealed that even though there came a stage when Vikas and her realised that Shilpa might be the winner but clarified that it was just a conversation and that viewers should not judge them because the two continued to play their games and gave their one hundred percent.
On being asked about her equation with other house inmates post the show, an elated Hina revealed that all of them are going for a trip. "All of us are going on a trip and we'll not reveal the place. We decided that we've fought a lot in this house, bahut bakwaas kari hai, bahut bakwaas suni hai, lekin jab hum iss mukhya dwaar se bahar kadam rakhege toh hum sab kuch bhool jaayege. We were in a game show and we were competing then, but we're all humans and at times, you lose your temper and say things that you don't mean to but later on realise and apologise to sort those out."
Hina also added that if there's one change she'd now like to bring about in her life will be to mend broken relationships. Sometimes we fight with our friends or our family members in real and there are some people in your life you end up not speaking to at all. I think I'm going to mend the differences and hug them. Jab hum ek ghar mei ek doosre ko itna bura bhala bolne ke baad, agle din dost ban sakte hai, toh bahar kyu nahi. After living in the Bigg Boss house, I've learnt that you can fight and die but in the end, you should patch it up and be friends again.
When asked about the overall journey, Hina made it clear that she has absolutely no regrets but sometimes her statements have been misinterpreted. "Everything is fair in this game. Nothing is scripted, what you see is what we speak. It's just that sometimes a preceding or a following part of the conversation is chopped out. The viewers get to see the 24-hour footage in a 45-minute episode. So, the statements can be misinterpreted. Aap samajhte kuch aur hai aur bola kuch aur jaata hai."
She concluded by saying that it's not about winning or losing, but about how one plays the game. "Izzat kamaana is show mei zada important hai jeetne se," she said.
