Bigg Boss season 14 may have come to an end last Sunday with Rubina Dilaik as its winner, but the entertainment of the reality show does not stop. From this Sunday, February 28, 2021, Bigg Boss Kannada will be coming up with its eighth season.
The upcoming reality show is being hosted by Sandalwood star Kiccha Sudeep who along with the makers of the show had a brief interaction with the media on Thursday in Bengaluru.
Since the show is taking place amidst the coronavirus pandemic, the makers have taken all necessary precautions to ensure a COVID-free environment for everyone involved in the production. According to a report by ETimes TV, the show is sticking to the original format of the reality programme and it will only have celebrities who will be entering the house as contestants. The report further mentioned that the makers of Bigg Boss Kannada have kept in mind the expectations of the audience and selected the contestants likewise.
The names of the contestants have not been revealed to maintain the hype around the show but the ETimes report mentions that makers have hinted towards a few of them. Viewers can expect a singer, and a contestant from a political background participating in the show. There will also be two contestants from the film industry, a comedian, and some television serial artists residing inside the Bigg Boss house in Bengaluru.
Most of the contestants are from the acting backgrounds who have worked in Kannada movies or television serials. However, the report mentions that this time, the makers have also included contestants who are some renowned social media influencers or sensations. Bigg Boss Kannada’s eighth season will feature around two to three contestants who have made their name in digital media.
All the contestants have been quarantined for the last two weeks and have taken the RT-PCR tests twice to ensure complete safety.
