The final trailer of the highly anticipated science fiction horror film, Alien: Romulus, has been released. The trailer of the film shows high-octane action sequences that guarantee to keep the audience hooked. The ensemble cast includes actors Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu. Directed by Fede Alvarez, Alien: Romulus is the seventh installment in the action-thriller Alien franchise.
Alien: Romulus follows a group of young space colonists who while scavenging a derelict space station, come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the space. The trailer begins with Cailee portraying Rain Carradine in the film, asking, “Are you sure you want to do this?" Seconds later, we see a crew heading to an abandoned space station named Romulus, aiming “to steal highly regulated equipment." As they prepare to break in, the eerie corridors of Romulus are revealed setting a haunting tone.
One intriguing moment is a cutaway to a computer interface displaying a readout MU/TH/UR 9000. “This place gives me the creeps," states one of the crew members as shadow shots of empty corridors of Romulus heighten the tension. The ship has become a nesting ground for the biomechanical creatures of the Alien universe Xenomorphs and their spider-like, impregnating spawn called the Facehuggers.
As the crew splits up to explore the abandoned ship, they encounter these flying face-huggers and full-sized Xenomorphs. One of the most intense scenes from the trailer shows a xenomorph entering the body of Aileen Wu’s character Navarro, showcasing the film’s blend of horror and high-octane thriller. The crew soon prepares to take up arms in order to fight xenomorphs and save their lives.
