Amid the ongoing Padmavati row, while several fringe outfits have lashed out at Sanjay Leela Bhansali for "distorting" historical facts, some of them have even threatened the film's Deepika of serious consequences of promoting the film. Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kunwar Surajpal Singh Ammu had even offered a reward of Rs 10 crore to anyone who would "behead" Deepika and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the film, which is based on the life of 13th-century Indian queen Rani Padmini, also known as Padmavati.
Deepika Padukone on Friday shared a childhood photo with her 'forever friend' Aditya Narayan. She wrote, "forever friends... @aditya__narayan" alongside the adorable photo.
Soon after the photo was shared on Instagram, while many users expressed their love for her, some decided to troll her. In fact, a series of similar comments started pouring in, out of which, the most prominent one stated, "KPDE PHNNE AATE NHI AUR AA GYE RAANI BNNE, BAN PADMAVATI."
Still others began to accuse the actor of distorting the Rajput history.
But unfazed by the threats, Deepika again shared a wonderful photo with her friend and wrote, "forever friends...@aditya__narayan." In the photo, Deepika radiated a certain glow as she happily posed in a red sari with her childhood friend.
While the protests against the film refuse to die down, police personnel have been posted outside her parents' residence in Bengaluru, where her family, including her father and legendary badminton champion Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala, younger sister Anisha and grandmother Ahilya live in the city's northern suburb.
