Dhanush is one of India’s most sought-after actors, who has primarily acted in Tamil cinema. His milestone 50th film, Raayan was released on July 26, 2024, and marks his second directorial venture. Raayan has been receiving positive reviews from all quarters.
Now, an important update regarding this film’s digital streaming partner is out in the public domain. As per the reports by 123 Telugu.com, OTT Platform Sun NXT has taken over the OTT rights of this film. The film’s digital streaming partner was also revealed in its title card.
As per reports, there was strong competition amongst many media platforms vying for Raayan’s OTT rights but Sun NXT managed to win the race. The film will be streaming on the Sun NXT in the first week of September. However, as per other reports, the OTT deal between the makers and the Sun NXT is yet to get a confirmation. Reportedly, the makers can also close a deal with other platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc.
Raayan, written and directed by Dhanush stars himself, SJ Suryah, Amala Paul, Nithya Menen, Selvaraghavan and others in important roles.
Dhanush’s 4th directorial project
In an interview, actor SJ Suryah was quoted as saying that the shooting of Dhanush’s fourth directorial venture will go on floors in August. Suryah has not opened up about more details about this project. While more about Dhanush’s 4th directorial project remains to be divulged, actor Prakash Raj has shared some details about it. He talked about it in the pre-release event of the project Raayan, which was held on July 21 night in Hyderabad
During the event, Prakash Raj, who plays a key role in the film, revealed that Dhanush plans to direct a new project. As per Prakash, that project starred himself and Nithya Menen as the main leads. If this comes to fruition, it will mark Dhanush’s fourth directorial project. The trio last teamed up on Thiruchitrambalam (released as Thiru in Telugu) and this film received a brilliant response from viewers.
Dhanush’s Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam will be released on December 21. It stars Anikha Surendran, Mathew Thomas, Priya Prakash Varrier and others.
