'He Creates A Safe Space': Actress Apoorva Arora On Working With Parikshit Joshi
Parikshit, who took to Instagram to thank her for the collaboration, called Apoorva his "first heroine”.

Actress Apoorva Arora, who is receiving a lot of positive responses for her work in the recently released streaming show Family Aaj Kal has opened up about her experience of working with director Parikshit Joshi.

The actress said that Parikshit creates a safe space for his actors while also giving them the space to be vulnerable for their character so that the emotions come through well on camera.

Apoorva said, “It’s a very liberating feeling for an actor when a director is so trusting and creates a safe space where you can not only get into the skin of the character but also be vulnerable in many ways.” She further mentioned, “I’m really happy that I was able to live up to the expectations because I am always an actor to the director first and foremost. If my director is happy, I’m happy too.”

Parikshit, who took to Instagram to thank her for the collaboration, called Apoorva his “first heroine”, underlining the importance of their partnership to his career. The two have been best friends since their days in The Screen Patti and The Viral Fever.

In an earlier Instagram post, Parikshit wrote, “You’ve been a part of a lot of my ‘FIRSTS’… This is a special FIRST, and the fact that you’re my FIRST HEROINE makes me happy and content.” He expressed his gratitude for Apoorva’s contribution to their projects, including the UPSC video and her roles in Family Aaj Kal.

Highlighting the seamless collaboration between the two, he said, “People say working with friends can be difficult but not when you are the friends. On the work front, Apoorva will next be seen in Rohan Sippy’s directorial Unreal.

The first time she got a role in a film was when she was 12. After that, she acted in various advertising campaigns and became a known face, especially through her advertisements for Glam Up and Cadbury Perk. Currently, Apoorva is one of the most sought-after faces. In 2012, she bagged the role of Explorer in Discovery Kids’ documentary television series Mystery Hunters India. She is also a part of the YouTube channel FilterCopy. Her video Every School Romance, in which she acted alongside Rohan Shah, garnered 7.5 million views on YouTube within 5 days. She also acted in a college romance web series alongside Gagan Arora. She has also acted in a YouTube web series titled Wrong Number, with the character name Khushi
