I Was Unaware Of Bengaluru Rave Party’s Real Intent, Says Telugu Actress Ashi Roy

A rave party was busted at a farmhouse in Bengaluru on May 19, where various types of drugs were seized and blood samples of guests were collected and sent to a laboratory for testing. As per reports, more than 100 people including 25 young women, who are DJs, models and tech enthusiasts attended the party, out of which five have already been arrested. Bengaluru Police’s Central Crime Branch raided the farmhouse at Electronic City and found drugs and narcotic substances. Among them were Telugu actresses Ashi Roy and Hema, who were detained by the police on Wednesday for their attendance at the party

As per reports, about 86 individuals were found to have consumed drugs who may have indulged in substances like MDMA, cocaine and hydro ganja. 59 out of the 73 men and 27 out of the 30 women tested positive for consumption of drugs at the rave party which was advertised as Sunset to SunRise Victory.

Now, amid this, Ashi Roy has released a video on YouTube to explain her presence at the party. She claimed that she was unaware of the “nature of the party”. She also alleged that while she was present at the event, she had no idea about what was actually going on inside. She claimed to be innocent and said that “it was a birthday party”. She asked her fans and others to extend their support to her and believe her. She also added that she has no information about Hema’s presence at the rave party.

Reportedly, the farmhouse was allegedly owned by Gopala Reddy, the owner of Con Card and the birthday party was organised by a Hyderabad-based man, Vasu. The police have nabbed 5 individuals including the primary organiser of the party. Also, 3 others have been apprehended on the suspicion of drug peddling. As per reports, 45 grams of illicit substances like MDMA, cocaine and others were seized from the farmhouse. The party commenced at 5 PM and extended until 6 AM.

Ashi Roy has worked in films like Lockdown and Mystery of Sarika and series like Raja Rani Ghulam.
