Indrajith Lankesh, one of the most prominent filmmakers in Kannada cinema, is busy with the shoot of his upcoming directorial, which is titled Gowri. According to the new updates on the film, a new character look has been introduced in the project, which has increased the buzz around the release.
Through the release, Indrajith Lankesh is set to debut his son, Samarjit Lankesh. Even though the filmmaker has not revealed much in the release, this new update has created anticipation among fans. As per the reports, actor Yogesh, popularly known as Yogi, will be featured in the film. He is believed to be making a special appearance.
More reports state that an image of the director and the actor together has given way to rumours and speculations about his character, although nothing has been confirmed or released yet. The news has gone viral among the fans, as they anticipate Gowri’s release.
Gowri is inspired by true events and is titled after Indrajith Lankesh’s elder sister. The film will introduce Samarjit Lankesh and Saanya Iyer, the protagonists of the release. The cast also includes Sweezal, Chandu Gowda, Priyanka Upendra, Rajeev Pillai, Manasi Sudhir, Sampath Maitreya and others. The makers have roped in Jassie Gift and Chandan Shetty for music while the cinematography is being handled by AJ Shetty. So far, singles like Time Barutte, Dhool Abesava and Muddada have been released, all becoming chart-topping hits. Gowri is set to release on August 15.
On the other hand, actor Yogesh was last seen in the film Bachelor Party, which was released in January, this year. This Abhijit Mahesh directorial includes names like Diganth, Achyuth Kumar and Yogesh in important roles. It also stars Siri Ravikumar, Balaji Manohar, Achara Kirk and others. It is produced by G S Gupta and Rakshit Shetty under the banner of Paramvah Studios. The music in the film is done by Arjun Ramu, while the cinematographer is Arvind S Kashyap and Abhishek M is the editor.
