Janhvi Kapoor Jumps and Screams As Virat Kohli Runs Out Dhruv Jurel at RCB vs RR IPL Match | Watch

Janhvi Kapoor recently attended Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru IPL 2024 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. One of the major highlights of the match was when RR’s Dhruv Jurel was stumped. While Virat Kohli fans cherished the moment, Janhvi Kapoor was no different.

A video from the match has surfaced on social media in which Janhvi Kapoor can be seen screaming and jumping with excitement as Virat Kohli takes Dhruv Jurel’s wicket. Janhvi sported a purple top with a glittering World Cup trophy printed on it. She was also accompanied by Orry aka Orhan Awatramani. Watch the video here:

Interestingly, the video comes at a time when Janhvi Kapoor is also gearing up for the release of Mr and Mrs Mahi. Directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions, Mr and Mrs Mahi will see Janhvi playing the role of a budding cricketer.

Recently, the actress opened up about her intense training for the film when she recalled how she used to practise every day for hours at a ground in Bandra. “When I started prepping for the film – during Mili promotions – I was 8-9 kilos heavier. Sharan was very stressed. He said, ‘You don’t look like a cricketer and if you really want to do this film, you need to lose weight and need to start training in cricket. Mere jo coach they, Abhishek Nayar, who was my coach, said, ‘Jis tarah ki training aapke saath ki gayi hi, humare IPL players ke saath bhi nahi ki jaati – itna intense tha'(The kind of training that was done with you, even our IPL players don’t get – it was that intense). I used to practise in the nets with KKR players, who got recently recruited,” she said during the trailer launch of the film.

Prior to this, the makers of the film also shared a behind-the-scenes clip of Janhvi’s transformation as Mahi. In the video, the director revealed that the actress was initially assuming the training would be similar to what she had done for Gunjan. However, when the training started, she realised it was nothing like that.

Mr And Mrs Mahi is all set to hit theatres on May 31, 2024.
