Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer sci-fi action thriller film Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, is one the most anticipated films of 2024. Recently, the makers introduced a new character from the film, Bujji, who is Prabhas’s aka Bhairva’s closest ally. But there’s a twist, Bujji is not a human but an AI-powered high-end vehicle that assists Bhairava during his missions.
Bujji, the robocar, voiced by South actress Keerthy Suresh, has garnered praise and appreciation from several celebs including- Naga Chaitanya and the F1 driver Narain Karthikeyan. The latest celeb to join the bandwagon was Jawan director Atlee.
On Wednesday, Atlee took to his Instagram stories and shared a poster of Kalki 2898 AD featuring Prabhas and Bujji. “Interesting one. Congratulations in advance to the entire team of Kalki for the blockbuster,” the filmmaker wrote in the caption. He also attached a link to the introduction teaser of Bujji, which the makers of Kalki 2898 AD released last week.
Recently, the director of the film, Nag Ashwin invited the CEO of Tesla Musk, Elon Musk to witness the greatness of Bujji. “Dear Elon Musk, sir… We would love to invite you to see and drive our Bujji… it’s a 6-ton beast, fully made in India Fully Electric & an engineering feat.. And I daresay it’ll make for a great photo-op with our cybertruck (would be a sight to see them drive together),” Nag wrote on his X account.
As per the latest updates, ahead of the release of the film, the makers will be unveiling an animated prequel of Kalki 2898 AD called Bujji and Bhairava which will stream on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video from May 31.
Apart from Prabhas and Deepika, the film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in pivotal roles.
Big B also showered praises on Nag Ashwin for his vision in one of his recent blogs. He wrote, “And Bujji the marvel has been released… the technology for KALKI 2898 AD is the mind and work of the director Nag Ashwin. How did he ever think this one out.. And how he has been able to accomplish this is a marvel in itself.” Kalki 2898 AD is all set to hit the big screens on June 27.
