Lionsgate Movies took to Twitter on Wednesday to share two new posters of their upcoming film John Wick: Chapter 3, which stars Keanu Reeves and newcomer Halle Berry.
One of the posters has Reeves dressed in a black tie and coat, standing in rain getting wet in the middle of a crowd in New York City, looking directly at the camera with a dead-pan face. He sports long hair and has bruises on his face.
The other features Reeves, Berry and two Belgian Malinois dogs with Middle-Eastern desert-scape in the background. The dogs are reportedly Berry’s character Sofia’s and like John’s canine in the first instalment, they will represent a loss she has suffered in the past.

Talking about Sofia’s connection with John, Reeves earlier told Entertainment Weekly, “She has a past with John. I end up going to find her to see if she can help me.”
About the dogs, directors Chad Stahelski said, “Whereas John’s puppy was symbolic of his wife, Halle’s two dogs are symbolic of someone she’s lost.”
In the film, Reeves reprises his titular role of the fearsome assassin John Wick. John Wick: Chapter 3 takes off right from where the second instalment ended and will revolve around John’s attempts to leave New York, considering now he has a global $14 million contract on his head and is officially ex-communicado from The Continental.
Also starring a slew of other actors, including Ian McShane, Ruby Rose, Common, Lance Reddick, Laurence Fishburne and Hiroyuki Sanada, John Wick 3 is currently slated to release on May 17, 2019.
