The trailer of Akshat Verma’s dark comedy Kaalakaandi is finally out and it is unabashedly entertaining. The two minute 22 second-long trailer shows Saif Ali Khan as lively and daring man who wants to enjoy life after he is informed that he is suffering from stomach cancer.
"Whatever makes you happy, do it" is what his doctor tells him and what follows next is a series of adventurous events. As he embarks on the most thrilling journey of his life, the trailer unfolds the mysterious stories of other characters essayed by Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raaz, Akshay Oberoi, Shobita Dhulipala and Kunaal Roy Kapur.
Akshat, who has previously directed Imran Khan-starrer Delhi Belly along with Abhinay Deo, has added a few elements in this movie which give it a flavor of his 2011 hit.
Kaalakaandi, produced by Cinestaan Film Company, Flying Unicorn Entertainment and Immoral Police, is scheduled to release on January 12, 2018.
