Kangana Ranaut visits flood-hit areas of Himachal Pradesh. The actress-turned-politician shared a few pictures from her visit.

Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut met with the Himachal Pradesh flood victims on Tuesday and was visibly emotional. The actress, also a BJP MP from Mandi, reached the flood-hit areas of the state to gauge the impact of the floods and inspect the relief work. During the visit, she met several residents who lost their homes in the floods. In one of the pictures, Kangana was seemingly in tears as she consoled a victim.

In another photo, she checked the gravity of the losses and ensured help was available. Kangana shared the photos on Instagram, saying, “People have lost everything… In the vastness of that loss I feel immense pain and grief… Our hope is Narendra Modi.” In another stories, she added, “Humans are so vulnerable before the nature… Oh mother earth be kind to us.”

On X, she shared the photos and wrote, “People have lost everything, in the vastness of that loss I feel immense pain and grief.” Kangana also reposted a video of a group of locals building a makeshift bridge and wrote, “It is also very shameful that flood affected people are not getting any help from the state government… wherever I am going in flood affected areas, helpless people are complaining about the cruel and unconcerned treatment of the state government towards them. It is tragic and inhuman.”

Last week, Himachal Pradesh was hit by multiple cloudbursts, one of which took place in Kullu. The area falls under Kangana’s political constituency, Mandi. Speaking exclusively with CNN News18, Kangana said, “It’s very disheartening. Last time also we had severe flooding in the areas of Himachal Pradesh. This time also, we are waking up to very alarming situations. Last night has been disastrous, especially in the Kullu district, which comes under Mandi constituency. As you know, Mr Narendra Modi ji, our Prime Minister ji has looked after the whole situation and he has made sure people who are missing, they are being found, things are being restored and people are being rescued. All of that he is looking after.”
