Kanguva: Suriya, Bobby Deol's Pan-India Film Mounted On A Whopping Budget Of Rs 350 Cr? What We Know

Ever since Suriya Sivakumar dropped the teaser of the magnum opus and much-awaited Kanguva, it has taken social media by storm. The thrilling background score, the execution, the teaser has everything to make the nation go gaga over it. Right from its release, the teaser has had the industry buzzing. The glimpse of superstar Suriya as the Mighty Warrior and Bobby Deol as the antagonist has piqued the excitement of fans. Besides this, what makes Kanguva one of the most ambitious films of the year is its budget. The film is billed as one of the big-budget films of the year and the budget for the pan-world film is touted to be more than Rs 350 crores.

According to a source close to the production, “Kanguva is shaping up brilliantly. Right from the technical department to the execution, stunts, war sequence and the characterisations, makers are leaving no stone unturned to bring cinematic marvel to the audiences. The makers have mounted the film on a huge canvas with a massive budget of 350 Cr. and once it’s released, everyone will see it on screens”

The film shows the story of two different eras – pre-Historical and present era and the makers has made ensure the scale and the execution in this two timelines comes as a visual delight for the audiences. According to the source, the budget of the film has easily surpassed the estimated budgets of other big films coming this year. The film delves into the enormous battle between Bobby and Suriya’s characters. Bobby’s look in the film contrasts sharply with Suriya’s fierce and courageous appearance as a warrior leading an army.

The teaser also introduces the world to director Siva’s vision, which he has built on a huge scale with Studio Green’s backing. Kanguva promises a raw, rustic, and new visual experience to the audience with human emotions, powerful performances, and never-before-seen action sequences on a big scale. The film features cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy and a musical score by Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad.

The release of the film is planned in the second half of 2024.
