The 31-year-old English singer reportedly passed away after falling from the balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires on October 16. As people around the world grapple with the loss of Liam, his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, shared a post on her Instagram account, speaking about the tragic incident.

Two days after the sudden demise of the 31-year-old singer, Kate put up a story describing Liam as an “angel”. She wrote, “Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way,” and continued, “I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real. I ask and pray that you’ll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private.”

Kate ended her statement by remembering her boyfriend. “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you, Liam.”

The late English singer started dating influencer Kate Cassidy after he broke up with Maya Henry in 2022. The same year, Liam met the influencer, and they went public with their relationship at the British Fashion Awards in London. The two were reportedly in an on-again/off-again relationship. In the hours before the tragic incident, the 31-year-old singer had shared several videos on his Snapchat account with his girlfriend, Katie. The video showcased the couple enjoying breakfast and discussing plans for their day.

According to reports, Liam had extended his stay in Argentina to meet with his former bandmate Niall Horan, who was performing in the country. As per New York Post, the 31-year-old singer pleaded with his influencer-girlfriend to stay behind after she decided to fly back to Florida just four days before the tragic incident. Kate did not want to stay at the same place for long. Hence, she decided to head back.

A friend of Kate told that media outlet that Liam never informed her when he’d be ready to leave, so she booked a ticket home herself, leaving him upset. “Liam didn’t want Kate to leave Argentina. He wanted her to stay. She says he begged her to stay. It was actually a little more heated than you’d think. He didn’t know why she would leave him, but she wanted to be home with her dog. He didn’t like that at all. He was really moody about it,” revealed the friend.
