Jayam Ravi’s upcoming film Brother has been making headlines for a long time. Viewers were eagerly waiting for more updates. Recently, the makers surprised the viewers and unveiled the first single from the film, titled Makkamishi. The song has vocals by Paal Dabba, while Harris Jayaraj has composed the music. The song provides a peek of Jayam Ravi’s character in the film. He looked trendy as he danced to the track’s vibrant beats. Jayam Ravi’s appealing performance in Brother’s first single has raised expectations for the film.
The song was released on July 20 and has till now garnered 1,142,998 views on YouTube. Viewers shared their feedback in the comment section. Brother is said to be an emotional family drama, featuring Jayam Ravi and Priyanka Mohan in the lead roles, with Bhumika Chawla playing a pivotal role and Saranya Ponvannan, VTV Ganesh, Natty, Seetha, Achyuth, and Rao Ramesh featuring in the supporting roles.
Brother is written and directed by M Rajesh, who has previously directed popular films like Siva Manasula Sakthi and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi.
The film is produced jointly by Siddharth Ravipati and Senthil Kumar under the Screen Scene Media Entertainment banner. While Vivekanand Santhosh cranks the camera, Ashish Joseph handles the editing.
For those unversed, Brother was formally revealed in August 2022 under the working title JR30, marking Ravi’s 30th film in lead role. The actual title, Brother, was announced in September 2023. Principal photography started in August 2022, primarily in Chennai.
Aside from Brother, Jayam Ravi also has Genie in his pipeline. The film is directed by Bhuvanesh Arjunan and is currently in the production phase.
