'My World, My Blood': Masaba Gupta Shares Childhood Photo with Parents Neena Gupta and Vivian Richards
Masaba Gupta has shared a rare throwback photo from when she was a baby, featuring parents Neena Gupta and Sir Vivian Richards.

Designer Masaba Gupta went into throwback mood late on Friday night, sharing a photo from of her parents from her childhood, and another of her grandparents. Masaba shared a rare photo from when she was a baby, featuring her mom, actress Neena Gupta, and father, former cricketer Sir Vivian Richards. In the picture, little Masaba is seen lying on her mom’s lap, while her father looks on.

Neena looks ethereal in a red and white silk sari, with a big bindi on her forehead. The second picture in black and white is an even older one – of Neena’s parents. Masaba captioned the post, “My world. My blood.” Her friends from showbiz and sports commented on the photos. While most of them dropped hearts, tennis player Leander Paes said, “Home is where the heart is.”

In a post prior to this, Masaba talked about her roots and identity. She posted, “When I am asked who I am I never really have an answer. My grandfather was from Benaras, my mother is from old Delhi. My great-grandmother, from Lahore. And my father from the Caribbean. But I have my eyes on the world. Then how can I be just one thing?”

Neena was in a relationship with the former West Indian cricketer in the 1980s. They became parents to Masaba in 1989. The actress chose to raise her daughter as a single mother in India, with the help of her father. She married Vivek Mehra at the age of 48.
