Earlier this month, Abdu Rozik surprised everyone when he took to his Instagram handle to announce that he will get married on July 7, 2024. The singer later revealed that ladylove’s name is Amira and that they met at an eatery in Dubai for the first time when they fell in love with each other. Now, Abdu’s close friend and Bigg Boss 16 contestant Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia has opened up about his wedding and also sent across her best wishes.
In an exclusive conversation with News18, Nimrit shared, “I honestly haven’t had the chance to speak ‘speak’ to him but I have definitely sent out my wishes. I am so happy for him. I think life for him has come full circle and I am so excited that he is starting this new chapter in his life. We are still in touch very much (sic).”
Interestingly, during Bigg Boss 16, Abdu Rozik had admitted to Sajid Khan that he once loved Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia but has since moved on. Sajid, talking to Abdu, had mentioned that Nimrit has a boyfriend outside the house.
Abdu Rozik spoke to Hindustan Times recently when he revealed that Salman Khan dialled him up after the news of his engagement went viral. Abdu shared that ‘Bhai’ blessed him and is also likely to attend his wedding in Dubai in July 2024. “My engagement was a surprise to everyone. I chose not to tell anyone before the engagement on April 24. I feel grateful my family and team helped me keep this private,” Abdu said and then added, “But as soon as Salman Bhai heard the news, he called to congratulate me. He gave me his blessings and it means a lot to me. I look forward to having my bada bhaijaan (elder brother) at my wedding. My friends from Bigg Boss too like Shiv Thakare, were surprised but happy for me.”
Speaking about his fiance, Abdu earlier shared with Bombay Times, “She is pretty, has long hair and beautiful eyes. I introduced myself and we exchanged numbers. We have known each other for the last four months. She is studying business administration in Sharjah.”
Hailing from Tajikistan, Abdu Rozik gained popularity in India after he participated in Bigg Boss 15. His performance in the show was widely loved by all including the host, Salman Khan. During his Bigg Boss stint, he became a close friend with his co-contestants – Shiv Thakare, Sajid Khan, MC Stan and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia. Last year, Abdu also made a guest appearance on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 when he was seen supporting his friend, Shiv Thakare.
