Nora Fatehi is a popular name in the showbiz world today but there was a time when the actress was new in Mumbai and therefore was struggling on all ends. In a recent interview, Nora opened up on her initial days in Mumbai and revealed that it was “traumatic”. The diva recalled sharing an apartment with nine people and surviving on an egg per day.
“I came to India with only Rs 5,000 in my pocket. I didn’t even know what 1000 dollars was like,” Nora said on Mashable India’s The Bombay Journey recently and then added “I lived with nine psychopaths in a three BHK apartment where I shared the room with two other girls. During my stay there, I used to think, ‘What have I got myself into?’ I am still traumatised.”

Nora Fatehi further shared how she was “exploited” by agencies and revealed getting paid very less by them. “The agency would deduct a lot of money and pay me meagre salaries. I survived on one egg and bread. It was a rough time. I needed therapy. The struggle was really bad. They would charge you a commission and deduct money for even breathing. Some of the agencies exploit you and there are no laws to protect you,” she said.
Nora Fatehi is known for films like Rocky Handsome, Batla House, Stree, Satyameva Jayate, An Action Hero and Crakk among others. She was recently seen in Madgaon Express. Directed by Kunal Kemmu, the film also starred Avinash Tiwary, Pratik Gandhi and Divyenndu in the lead. Released on March 22, Madgaon Express revolves around three friends who go on a vacation to Goa, only to find their epic vacation plan turns into a nightmare. The film received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.
