Richa Chadha 'Still Can't Believe' She Promoted Heeramandi In 7th Month Of Pregnancy

Among the notable performances, Richa Chadha, who plays Lajjo, has received significant appreciation. Despite her minor role, her character left a lasting impact on the audience. Recently, the actress shared insights into her deep involvement with the series and its promotions. She also expressed her surprise at managing the hectic promotion schedules while being seven months pregnant.

In a recent Instagram post, Richa Chadha discussed participating in a meet-and-greet session last month with the media and reuniting with co-stars like Manisha Koirala, Sharmin Segal Mehta and Sanjeeda Sheikh. However, she was thrilled to meet filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, whom she has often thanked for giving her this splendid opportunity.

In the post, she wrote, “Exactly a month ago, we had a meet and greet with the media, to celebrate the success of Heeramandi on Netflix! Was fun to meet all the co-stars but the chief guest was of course, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali who was indeed a sighting as rare as a tiger in Ranthambore! There’s a special story about this day, for which I am grateful to my team and I will make a reel about it tomorrow. Still can’t believe I was out promoting in full bloom when in the 7th month…haha.”

The pictures along with the post showed Richa Chadha dressed in a rust-orange suit. The still also gave glimpses of her meeting with Sharmin Segal, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Manisha Koirala and others.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar explores the cultural landscape of the titular area through the stories of a group of courtesans, set during the pre-independence era. In addition to Richa Chadha, the series stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal and Sanjeeda Shaikh. The cast also includes Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha, Shekhar Suman, and Adhyayan Suman, who portray Nawabs in the show.

On the personal front, Richa Chadha married Ali Fazal in an intimate ceremony during the pandemic in 2020, followed by a spectacular celebration with friends and family in 2022. Earlier this year, the couple announced via Instagram that they were expecting their first child.
