Vijay Sethupathi, the celebrated actor known for his stellar performances in films like Jawan and Master, has recently garnered attention for a heartwarming family photo shared on Instagram. Uploaded on February 15, the picture features Vijay alongside his son Surya, daughter Shreeja and wife Jessy. Shreeja, who made her cinematic debut in the film Mugizh, directed by Karthik and produced by Vijay Sethupathi Productions, portrayed the character of Kavya in the movie, which also starred Vijay and actress Regina Cassandra. Despite receiving mixed reviews, Shreeja’s acting skills were praised by many.

Meanwhile, Surya, Vijay’s son, is gearing up for his debut as a male lead in stunt director Anal Arasu’s upcoming movie, Phoenix. The film, touted as a mass-action entertainer, marks Anal Arasu’s directorial debut and is produced by Rajalakshmi Arasakumar under the banner Brave Man Pictures. With music by Sam CS, cinematography by Velraj and editing by Praveen KL, Phoenix commenced its journey with a pooja ceremony held at AVM Studio on November 24, 2023.
Surya has previously essayed supporting roles in his father’s films like Naanum Rowdy Thaan and Sindhubaadh. While his screen time was limited in Naanum Rowdy Thaan, he played a significant role in Sindhubaadh. Additionally, Surya is set to make a cameo appearance in Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai 2, currently in production. The film, featuring Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj and Manju Warrier, among others, will be released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
