Looks like the makers of Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie are leaving no stones unturned to increase the hype for their film. Recently, the film’s director Lokesh Kanagaraj has been busy making back-to-back announcements about the film’s star cast and this has led to fans going into a frenzy. Now, on Friday, Lokesh Kanagaraj shared an official character poster of Preethi. Can you guess who the actress is? Shruti Haasan is all set to join the stellar star cast of Coolie. Lokesh Kanagaraj shared a poster of the character Preethi, which will be portrayed by the actress. The poster featured her in a serious expression and a shovel in her hands. Shruti Haasan wore a simple suit and kept her hair half-tied with a middle parting and a bindi on her forehead. Lokesh Kanagaraj dropped the photo on the social media platform X and wrote, “Kicked to have Shruti Haasan joining the cast of Coolie as Preethi. Welcome on board.”

Shruti Haasan was “stoked” to be joining the team as this is her first collaboration with the superstar of the industry. She commented, “Thank you, Lokesh! Super stoked to be a part of this.” Fans too showered her with love and showed excitement regarding her joining the film.
Coolie might be a big-budget film as many prominent faces will be seen. Apart from Rajinikanth and Shruti Haasan, the film will also star Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir and Mahendran among others. On the occasion of actor Nagarjuna’s 69th birthday, the director dropped a poster of his character, Simon. The caption read, “Kicked to have King Nagarjuna Sir joining the cast of Coolie as Simon. Welcome on board and wishing you a very happy birthday Sir.”

There have been reports that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan may also be joining the film for a cameo role. There have been no official confirmations regarding the same. The release date of the film has been kept under wraps and the shooting began in July this year. There were speculations that Coolie would also be a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) like Kaithi, Vikram and Leo. Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed that it is a stand-alone film.
