Shruti Haasan’s personal life has been in the headlines lately. Her breakup with ex-beau Santanu Hazarika grabbed many eyeballs. On Monday, she posted a video on her Instagram handle, treating fans to a snippet of her latest composition.
The clip showcases Shruti putting her extraordinary talent to display. While playing her composition on piano, she also crooned a song, written by herself. We must say, the soulful lyrics and the melodious composition were quite praiseworthy. Shruti, through her song, talked about self-love, breakup and the road to recovery after the same, hinting at her experience after her separation from her former boyfriend.
She captioned the video, “I shut the door, And I ate the key. I won’t be needing THAT me anymore. Back to my free writing and it feels so cathartic. I’ve been in a chaos pond swimming to the bottom searching for light – I found sludge moss and a whole song ???? Life is brilliant and scary and beautiful and worth every bit of magic.”
Not long ago, the Ramaiya Vastavaiya star confirmed her breakup with Santanu on her Instagram story. During an AMA session on Instagram, she responded to a question whether she was single or committed. While answering, she said, “I don’t enjoy answering these questions, but I am entirely single, unwilling to mingle, only working and enjoying my life.”
Shruti and Santanu’s breakup was reported only a few weeks back. A source, when asked on the matter, told Bombay Times that the breakup was amicable. The person claimed, “Since there were personal wavelength issues, they decided to part ways amicably.”
Workwise, Shruti Haasan’s last big screen appearance was in Salaar. Starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead, the film earned over Rs 700 crore at the box office worldwide.
